Customize 'regions/sections' view of a scatterload file

Hi,

I recently discovered DS-5 community edition and found it very useful for displaying the scatterload file in graphical format via the Regions/Sections tab. My only gripe is there is no way to customize what is shown and I cannot export this data to an image. Regions do not appear relative to their sizes, nor do they actually list their lengths and these would be the two most important things I want. Instead all I see are the base address of the regions.

Is there a way that I can customize this view, or maybe modify DS-5 itself to get what I want? The only option I see within DS-5 eclipse is changing the colors shown.

Thanks,

Alfred

    Hi Alfred,

There are some simple configuration options in Preferences -> DS-5 -> Scatter File Editor.

I appreciate your comments on how the view can be improved, and will highlight to our engineering team.

    Hi Ronan,

Is DS-5 open source? I cannot find any indication of this, but since it is an Eclipse plugin I thought it could be. These are changes I would greatly like implemented and if I can do them myself that would be sufficient for what I need.

If not, is there any way I can track the progress of these features?

    Thanks

  • It's not Open Source. See ds.arm.com for more info.
