I want to connect with people who worked/working with gem5. How do I do it?

I have been doing some research related to reconfigurable architectures at Embedded Systems Lab, University of Florida. I have reached a point where I want to consult with professionals whether the simulations I am running are up to industry standards and valid. One of my friends' told me a small group at ARM works with gem5/McPAT and I wanted to connect with the group so that I can learn more, discuss and validate my experiments. If somebody is active in the discussion board or know someone who is working on a similar project please direct me to them.

Thanks !

  • Hi Ali,

    Thanks for the reply.

Maybe my phrasing of the original question was not proper. I do not seek support on usage of gem5. ( gem5 mailing list would be my first priority for that )

I wanted to discuss about the research methodology itself. For example, Whether the parameters I am considering to determine the CPU usage truly completely represent the usage, Whether the energy numbers I am using are enough to gather data about the system or if I should consider some other parameter along with it. So basically, I want to discuss more about the computer architecture concepts and nothing about the usage of gem5 or McPAT.

I am a fresh college graduate so I hope you can understand my enthusiasm to connect with experienced professionals to expand my limited knowledge.

However, If you still feel I am not posting in the right platform, please let me know and I will seek the information elsewhere ( but ARM would be my first choice )

    Thank you,

    Sudhir
