Introducing the Semiconductor Education Alliance

These are the company logos involved with Semiconductor Education Alliance

Arm, its ecosystem partners and leading academic institutions have joined forces to launch the Semiconductor Education Alliance. Our aim is to engage with key stakeholders to build and nurture thriving communities of practice in Computer Engineering, Informatics, and STEM education and research - from teachers and schools to universities, publishers, EdTech companies and research organizations.

The shared goals of the alliance are to:

  1. Bring the semiconductor industry, academia and government worlds together to build industry KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Attributes) frameworks & educational and training standards / pathways.
  2. Commit to growing and supporting multiple accelerated learning pathways into semiconductor careers to bring further diversity of talent.
  3. Foster a robust skills pipeline for a thriving semiconductor industry building on the strengths of the Arm ecosystem.

The alliance brings together several existing partnerships and workstreams from Arm and the wider industry and aims to create and build new and exciting initiatives.  Desired outcomes include:

  • Combining courses and programs on online learning platforms to create richer learning journeys.
  • Leverage shared assets to create new sets of differentiated content, including repurposed/modified educational materials for use in new formats or on new platforms.
  • Explore and implement co-marketing and promotional opportunities in education, training and academia.
  • Jointly creating curricula, standards or learning pathway frameworks and building momentum around platforms that foster the frameworks.
  • Leverage expertise and influence by providing thought leadership, technical expertise and support, including supporting the creation of new resources of mutual interest;
  • Join efforts to influence governmental and non-governmental organizations in support of CEI and STEM education, research, and skills
