Hi, when using ULINK to download or debog code to a XC866 Starter Kit i always get the message "JTAG Communication Failure". But i only get the message when the ULINK is connected to my notebook. The problem doesn't appear when I connect it to a Desktop PC. I disabled the Energy safety option in the hardware device manager but the problem is still there. Forthermore, the ULINK gets the 5 Volt supply voltage from the USB-Host. Thanks for your Help Greets Frankie
Frank; I too have problems with my HP Z5600 laptop. On Batt, very little will run on Host powered USB. Even on line power I still have problems. I bought a self powered USB 4 port hub for $19.00. End of ULINK and eval board problems. Bradford
