Let me clarify a bit. I’m talking about a hardware logic block that is not part of the CPU. I’m asking about a logic block that could work with GPIO, applying logical functions to it, thereby expanding the capabilities of GPIO. It seems to me that since most of the MCU’s work is tied to logic, not having such a block that could handle logic at the hardware level — without the crutch of external chips — is a major oversight.
