 Boon Fai Tin started his engineering career as an embedded software engineer in the automotive industry for 6 years before switching over to MCU marketing role, specializing in the automotive and industrial segments. He joined STMicroelectronics in 2010 as a Technical Marketing and Applications Manager for STM32 and STM8 for ASEAN region. In 2017 his role expanded to cover India. STM32 now has the biggest market share for 32-bit general purpose MCU in the region.


Vinay Kumar Thapliyal

Vinay has been working for STMicroelectronics for 15 years. He has worked in various functions, like Embedded Designs, Application and Technical Marketing. Sridhar Ethiraj
Senior Field Application Engineer, General-Purpose Microcontrollers Sub-Group

 Sridhar is an electrical & electronics engineer working as Microcontrollers - Field Application Engineer for the last 20 years. He has been working at ST for the last 11 years supporting customer product design and development based on STM32 / STM8 Microcontrollers for distinct applications. Sridhar has rich working experience with Cortex-M based Microcontrollers, Renesas Microcontrollers & 8051 based Microcontrollers. In Tokyo, he has been working and leading the local system solutions lab. With his board experience in the fields of Power Supply, Motor Control, Automation, RF, IoT, in 2019 and 2021, he has further enlarged his responsibility to the APAC Artificial Intelligence and Smartphone Competence Center. In the past 3 years, he has been focusing on new areas in AI, helping the internal ST technical groups with the creation of technical content and demo projects based on AI.

Di Li's work experience is in applying machine learning in the areas of industrial anomaly data analysis, predictive maintenance, and computer vision. Currently working as a FAE in STMicroeletronics Asia Pacific AI CC, his main responsiblity is computer vision related work.

Dr. Tom Spink
Lecturer at The University of St Andrews

 Dr Tom Spink is a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of St Andrews, and previously a Senior Researcher at the University of Edinburgh. Throughout his research, he has pioneered the use of hardware virtualisation support for dynamic binary transla­tion and is currently investigating how IoT systems can be efficiently virtualised at scale. His interests lie in computer systems, specifically compilers, runtimes, virtualisation, and operating systems.

Gian Marco Iodice
Principal Software Engineer (ML Tech lead)		 Gian Marco Iodice is a tech lead in the Machine Learning Group at Arm and author of the TinyML Cookbook, published in April 2022. At Arm, Gian Marco looks after the ML performance optimisations for the Arm Compute Library, which he co-created in 2017 to get the best performance on Arm Cortex-A CPUs and Mali GPUs. Arm Compute Library is currently the most performant library for ML on Arm, and it’s deployed on billions of devices worldwide – from servers to smartphones.

Gian Marco holds an MSc, with honors, in electronic engineering from the University of Pisa (Italy) and has several years of experience developing ML and computer vision algorithms on edge devices. In 2020, Gian Marco co-founded the TinyML UK meetup group to encourage knowledge-sharing, educate, and inspire the next generation of ML developers on tiny and power-efficient devices.
