I saw what looks like the start of a series of short videos on the ARMflix YouTube channel.
Of course, it doesn't go into much details, but I thought it was a simple way to discover the series.
As they come up, anyone please feel free to edit this document and add them!
Video Tutorial on ARM Cortex-M Series - Debug and Trace
I think this is a very useful conglomeration document to find overview information when one is considering which processor to use. It is useful information of what capability these cortex-M family have.
Even more useful is to be able to get short 3 minute max videos on each Cortex-M4 device highlighting their specific peripherals and strengths. I find it a pain to seek out each device knowing the product maker is considering a Cortex-M4 for their application. It would be nice to have a place to go for an overview of each device quickly.
Although, Cortex-M is used across so many different applications that it might be difficult to highlight the proper emphasis. Maybe there can be subcategories of specific applications. DSP Concepts is thinking of creating short tutorial videos on our graphical audio design tool which, of course, supports Cortex-M4. That might be a good place to put those videos because it would give additional insight into how Cortex-M4 can be used in audio applications.
There are a couple more videos readying for production, including videos about the Nested Vectored Interrupt Controller (NVIC) and the Cortex Microcontroller Software Interface Standard (CMSIS).
Please send me your feedback specifically on:
- Do you find these videos useful?
- What improvements could be added to new videos ?
- What other “similar” videos would you like to see (about any ARM IP)?
