why in uvision i can't crearte file system without rtos?

Hi everybody,

i working on file system + usb host mass storage ( lpc 1768 ).

in uvision i manage run time environment to create file system with usb host mass storage.

but i must to add cmsis rtos keil rtx.

i have tow question:

1) is there possible to have a such project without rtos ( bare metal )?

2) if it is not possible, what is the reason for? ie why such project must essentially be implemented with rtos?
