Mobile Studio 2019.1 now available

We are pleased to announce the release of Arm Mobile Studio 2019.1, an update to our suite of Android profiling tools for Arm CPUs and Mali GPUs.

Arm Mobile Studio 2019.1: Improvements

This release contains a number of quality-of-life improvements based on early feedback we have received from developers since the launch of Mobile Studio at GDC in March.

  • The Windows build is now packaged as an installer, and Mobile Studio tools are now available via the Windows Start menu.
  • The macOS build is now packaged as a signed disk image, fixing a number of issues caused by the operating system path randomization for unsigned images.
  • All builds now automatically find the built-in software license, so manually setting licensing environment variables is no longer required.

Supported Devices

In addition to these usability improvements we've added support for a number of new devices to the supported device list.

  • Galaxy S7 (Exynos version) validated for CPU PMU counters, and GPU PMU counters, provided it has been updated to the Android 8.0 firmware.
  • Galaxy S10 (Exynos version) validated for CPU utilization, CPU PMU counters, and GPU PMU counter. In addition Streamline has been updated to support CPU PMU counters for the custom CPU found in the Exynos 9820, and the Streamline analysis templates have been updated to support tri-cluster DynamIQ CPU configurations.
