This course introduces the concepts and pedagogy that underpin Project Based Learning (PBL) using Physical Computing. It explores the practices, techniques, pre-requisites and practicalities that need to be understood to successfully implement Physical Computing and PBL in a classroom. The course discusses both the importance of engaging learners and the features of PBL, including creating physical artefacts, design and planning, communication and collaboration, as well as common technical requirements. It also covers the learning theories and practices used in PBL and how to effectively apply them, with examples of successful PBL projects in action.
