Is it possible to do NOOVERLAY for XDATA and do OVERLAY for DATA.

    Yes. But, you don't actually use the NOOVERLAY directive. Use OVERLAY to remove all xdata segments from overlay analysis. For example:

    BL51 ... OVERLAY (?XD?* ! *)

    I haven't tried it ut I think this should work.
