Hello. I would like to integrate third-party debugger "emulator that supports JTAG debugging for ARM7 and ARM9 devices" to keil uvision, so I could flash LPC2214 using that debugger. Our university has a bunch of them, so they found it easier and more educative to integrate these debuggers then buying a lot of branded jtag debuggers. Could you please give a cue what i am to do. I guess, the point is to write a driver or modify the existed third-party driver, isn't it?
Correct.
Have you checked first whether this "third-party debugger" already has Keil support?
The interface details are here: http://www.keil.com/appnotes/list/uvision.htm
Yes, and i did not find any mentions. It's "jem-arm" from phyton.
Okay, let's suppose that I have written a driver for that third-party debugger. What's next step?
Just open tools.ini file in the Keil folder and add this debugger to the list of existing ones. It's an ordinary text file, so when you open it in the notepad, it will be clear how to do it. The hardest part will be writing your own debugger dll, though.
