You may have noticed that the forum has been down for the past 24 hours or so. We are experienced some growing pains as we adopt this new web framework, but the Keil web team has been working around the clock to correct these issues.

  • "new and improved" means 'worse'

    It's easy to get into that mindset.

    But ... I experienced one of the very early releases of Keil's C51 compiler (I think back in about 1989) and I can say that has definitely improved since then. At the time I gave up on it because the compiler produced code something like:

    
      PUSH ACC
      ..
      (function body)
      ..
      RET
    
    

    Yes, it has definitely improved since then.
