C51 V7 Dongle Problem

Following a failure my new motherboard does not have an integrated parallel port. I've added a PCI parallel port which works fine for the printer but my C51 V7 compiler doesn't see the dongle on it.

Is this a known problem with a workaround?

    Yes I had (and have again - on the same machine once it worked) this problem but with a motherboard integrated one. I remember this was depending on
    - BIOS (normal / bidi / ecp/epp)
    and / or
    - HardwareManager (?) settings, but which?
    I try again and tell you.
