Need to know ... what is EEPROM used in MCU for ?. I know EEPROM stand for Electrical Erasable Programming ROM but I need to know what's the purpose or where it going to be used in MCU?
I ask this because some of MCU dont have EEPROM ( EEPROM = 0 byte) ie 80NC535 & 80NC321 and the best thing about this MCU (without EEPROM) that's its cheaper than MCU with EEPROM. If it just minor used and can solve it in other method (and not effect my project) , I will use it as I need to lower the cost as much as possible.
Any instruction (ie in proton) that must be used on MCU with EEPROM ?
More explanation greatly appreciated.

I think that's not true with the solar labal buttorn . If you assume the digital pot is connected to a reference voltage with the MCU and GND and gives a voltage at the middle contacts, your calculation might be right, but it depends on how the circit is designed and works? The pot can be part of a RCL time giving circuit, it might float(?) over ground or lie in the loopback of an digital mru OPamp, therefor you cannot simply assume a GND referenced DC voltage of level 'A' will make the servo move right and a voltage of level 'B' will make it move left. If it is an seudo analog circuit it is probably that you shortcut (disable) the RC timer by pulling the middle and upper connector to GND with R12 and C15, the time constents of the circuit will be reduced to the lowest value possible and that makes your servo move in one direction only - but as result of an error not as a result of applying the right voltage level.
You need to further analize the circuit to understand what the right solution might be. Replacing the pots with digital types in any way should work but isn't cheap all.

what mpuC to use? i think one with big speed will bee needed for ADC and movement?
is a single mpu enough to control all the axes orf movement. one for each is better.we can finish project qwikly if we get get one person to write code for each and.
No decision made yet so plz help me(?) for the best work.

When handling many axes, it is extremely important that the controlling chip is intelligent enough - a runaway axe can generate a lot of damage in a short time!
I would recommend the use of either a Itanium 2, one of the more recent PA-RISC processors or possibly an Opteron solution.

Anyway, a simple, but strong MPU is needed. Orf axes are quite heavy. The ones I've seen wielded are at least 50 pounds, but not a problem for big strong Orfs.

By the way, I am really, really worried about those axes, unless they are mounted in a single-axis jig for chopping wood. A multi-axis multi-axe battle-axe setup would be seriously dangerous in case the watch dog doesn't perform his job and keeps the guard awake.
