I am conducting research into different methods of sending data stored on a MS-SD card (located on a train) back to a main office. It is likely that a GSM modem will be used, possibly the GM862-GPS from round solutions. Does anybody know whether I will need a means of interfacing this module with a PC? or can I just use an appropriate lead, it has two r232 (CMOS) ports. Any advice much appreciated.
This seems to have nothing whatsoever to do with Keil tools?

On a train - especially a high-speed train - be sure that the modem can cope reliably with the speeds involved.
"Does anybody know whether I will need a means of interfacing this module with a PC?"
Wouldn't the module's manufacturer and/or distributor be the ones to ask?
If you want an opinion, why not post a link to a datasheet?
How do you propose to get the data from the "MS-SD card" (whatever that might be) into the modem?
Is the modem "intelligent" - ie, can it originate and/or answer calls, and do whatever is necessary to get the data from the card?
