how to find what type of Ram

i am new to computer line. so i would like to know how to find my ram speed,ram brand and what type, without opening my CPU. Please let me how to find the way?

To stay on topic, you'd build a '251 based PCI card that could bus master the PCI bus on power up, configure the PC's memory controller chip and read out the serial EEPROM (SPD) on the DRAM DIMM's or RIMM's.
