Hello,
We have a Juno-r2, now, the Linux kernel version of 4.9.0 is in use, and all relevant Mali (user-space, kernel) drivers have to be integrated with the ‘X.Org’ as requested.
https://developer.arm.com/products/software/mali-drivers/display-drivers
(…To build a functional OpenGL ES or OpenVG driver you need access to the full source code of the Mali GPU DDK, which is provided under the standard ARM commercial license to all Mali GPU customers.)
According to the above official descriptions, does it mean we first have to ‘license’ Mali GPU DDK for a further integration even we had purchased a set of Juno-r2?
Looking forward to your reply.,
Andrew
Hi Andrew, Kernel sources are provided for all of the Mali drivers under the GPL license here: developer.arm.com/.../midgard-kernel The user-space for Mali is provided as binary only without a need for a separate license for Juno via one of the Linaro pre-built filesystems for Juno. In addition some binaries are available here (for Android): developer.arm.com/.../user-space If you get stuck Id suggest dropping a mail to either support@arm.com, or your boards supplier. Cheers, Pete
