Shenzhen xunlong software

  • Hello Steven,

Please note that ARM only design the GPUs and provide a DDK to Silicon Partners (SiPs) to integrate into their hardware and BSP, and distribute to their customers accordingly.

In this instance the SoC (System on chip) for the OrangePi2 is by Allwinner. You will need to contact Allwinner and ask them if they are willing to provide Shenzhen Xunlong Software the binaries you need for the OrangePi2.

There have been a few occasions where we have directly released public binaries for certain devices, but for the Utgard series, we have only currently released one for the HiKey (http://malideveloper.arm.com/resources/drivers/arm-mali-utgard-gpu-user-space-drivers/)

These drivers do not have the customisation and full integration that the SiPs traditionally do, and are thus not recommended for mass use, but only for experimentation and development.

Please understand we cannot provide these binaries for all devices out in the market, and have decided to target only a small subset which we feel may have the biggest impact for developers that we are working closely with.

I will put forward a suggestion for us to potentially support OrangePi2, but please note I cannot guarantee when, or even if, this may happen.

Your best course of action is to talk with your SoC provider (Allwinner) as it is their hardware you are using, not ARM.

I hope this helped explain the situation, and I apologise that we cannot help you more directly.

    Kind Regards,
