Robert has worked with databases and developed enterprise software for over a decade. His current work focuses on all things data, ranging from engineering to visualization, and all the way to training and deploying Machine Learning (ML) models.
Robert’s work with TensorFlow led him to start looking closely at TinyML (TensorFlow Lite for Microcontrollers) in 2021. This caused him to invest his time in promoting the adoption of embedded systems engineering on the African continent. His current goal is the adoption of Arm Education content by as many learners as possible. He has also started an interview series where he is showcasing embedded systems engineers who can serve as role models for their communities.
He contributes to the developer ecosystem by speaking at events, hosting meetups and code labs, and tutorials. He also writes articles on Medium and his personal blog about data visualization, Machine Learning, and Google Cloud Platform. He is a mentor at the Google for Startups Africa Accelerator, and is a co-organizer of Google Cloud Developer Community, Kaduna.
Robert is a Google Developer Expert for Machine Learning and the Google Cloud Platform. He is also a Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer.
