Nandan Nayampally is vice president and general manager of the Compute Product Group (CPG) at ARM and has more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
Nandan leads the business that develops ARM Cortex CPUs, which bring high-performance and high-efficiency compute to the connected world to billions of consumer devices.
His work at ARM has included defining and driving its processor products, cache-coherent interconnect and deploying new technologies. These include ARM big.LITTLE for extreme power-efficiency and ARM TrustZone for security into traditional markets in mobile, as well as creating and penetrating new markets such as networking infrastructure, server and the Internet of Things. He has pioneered innovation in IP design methodology.
Prior to joining ARM in 2004, Nandan worked in various engineering and program management roles at Denali Software (acquired by Cadence Design Systems in 2010) and AMD.
Nandan holds a M.A. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
