Hongsup Shin is a Staff ML Research Engineer at Arm. He conducts research and development of ML applications for hardware verification problems. He has been working closely with various stakeholders at Arm including CPU verification engineers and data engineers. He is generally interested in building robust, ethical, and interpretable ML systems. He previously worked as a data scientist in a ML consulting startup in Austin, TX and has a PhD in neuroscience (Bayesian inference modeling on human visual short-term memory) and an MSc in Biology (anti-predatory behavior in insects). His other interests include video gaming, watching indie/international films, and cooking/baking.
