WHAT I DO (Philosophically):
I engineer solutions to problems that other people thought were impossible to solve. Otherwise, I find the best alternatives to problems that actually are currently impossible to solve. I maintain broad knowledge and skills that enable me to tell the difference.
WHAT I DO (Practically):
I'm currently researching what technology will be used for computing beyond the lifespan of CMOS...
Spoilers! It looks like more CMOS for some time to come. However, traditional 2D scaling is finally and truly (nearly :) done so we are looking at ways to extend CMOS. These things include 3D structures, novel materials, and cryocooling.
But I also research things outside of CMOS. Recently, I developed for Arm an entirely new kind of motor system which used resonant electronics to increase efficiency across all operating points of the motor.
I have accumulated experience in many areas, including advanced process technologies, standard cell library creation, power conversion, electric motors, vlsi design (verilog, skill), analog design, programing (C, Python, etc,) as well as many other areas.
