Chris Emmons, PhD, is the Senior Director for US Research Programs within Arm Research. Chris empowers researchers to deliver world-class research and technology transfers with focus areas on Machine Learning, Data and Artificial Intelligence Services, Internet-of-Things and Smarter Everything, Software and Large-Scale Systems, and Novel Device Materials. He is a champion for diversity and inclusion across the company with goals of creating robust, high-performing teams and creating a fun place to do amazing, impactful work.
Before this role, Chris led the Mobile Systems Research and Emerging Applications Research groups at Arm for several years overseeing research programs on the mobile user experience, machine learning and perception, bio and health, and competitive analysis.
Prior to joining Arm in 2009 and prior to his graduate studies, Chris worked for several years at Intel in Austin, Texas, as an Applications Engineer then System-on-Chip Microarchitect for XScale-based systems.
Chris holds a B.S. in Computer Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin, USA, and a PhD in the area of Advanced Processor Technologies from the University of Manchester, England.
