Alex Rico is a Principal Research Engineer in Arm Research working on high-performance scalable architecture. His work at Arm focuses on system scaling to 1000s of cores, parallel software co-design and performance modeling. Before joining Arm, he worked on multi-core simulation methodologies and tasking runtimes at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. He holds a PhD from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya and has co-authored over 40 scientific publications and patents.
