Hello All:
I am in dire need of help with this problem as its becoming extremely painful to work. The issue I'm having is every time I try to type something in the IDE, it hangs for 1 to 4 seconds. I tried turning off code completion, I tried upgrading to the latest version 5.29(i'm currently using 5.25.2). nothing has helped. I tried contacting Keil and even sent them a copy of my project but they could not produce the issue on their side. my laptop is a Lenovo P51 with a Xion Prcoessor so its far from slow. Also, what I noticed in the Task Manager Status column when the IDE hangs, the status will show as "Not Responding" while its hung up. Please, any help will be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
- Do you see this delay with any project, i.e. the example projects offered by the Pack Installer?
http://www2.keil.com/mdk5/packinstaller/
- to what folder do you have installed MDK?
- Do you see this issue on a different PC with your project also?
HI Kopsch:
thank you for your reply! my MDK is installed in my C:\keil_v5 folder. I just installed the heart rate example from the packInstaller and I do NOT experience the issue. other people with the same project are not experiencing this issue at my company. I also frequently push my updates to Github. the few other engineers that use Keil do not upload to Github. I am not sure if that may be causing and/or contributing to this issue. all my personal projects have this issue. but they are some version of my latest project. Also, I do not think its a Github issue because I have always been using it and never had this issue before. Your help is greatly appreciated.
At the moment my focus is not on Git. I consider your project is stored locally. Also, I doubt that a license communication is pending during the delays as obviously other projects are fine. You may however, compare with a Lite-installation in use...Well, tough to comment on, especially as we can't trigger a replication. To be honest - I haven't heart about such delays during editing before - the probably fastest solution at this stage is to exchange your PC.

my PC is new. I dont think going to my supervisor and asking for a new PC is the answer here.
