Hi,
I read that the Microsoft patent for LFN (together with 8.3) did expire, but I'm not sure about that.
In the "License Agreement MDK v5.27 and above" I can't find a related section anymore, as I can in "License Agreement MDK v5.26 and below".
Does this mean, I can now freely use the LFN option in the file system module?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Michael
Yes, long filename usage is allowed according to:

Dear Mr. Kopsch,
thanks for your reply.
The page, you're referring to, just tells me that the KEIL MDK supports also LFN support. I already know that.I can't find a note regarding the legal part of using it there.
I thought, you (ARM) might have deeper knowledge on the legal part of using it, since there's no section in your license agreement anymore.
For now, I read your reply that I'm allowed to use it without the need to have it licensed by Microsoft.
Thanks a lot
