It is a simple LED show which can be adjusted by external inputs. We used Keil C. the file compiled with no errors and no warnings. The simulator ( Vault information services simulator) worked perfect.
It gave no further details.

I don't actually know what the downloading software is but I can try t describe it.

It works under DOS and displays the following screen:

Verify
Erase
Read
Program
From http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread4391.asp:

If it really was the downloading software that produced this error (ie, not the compiler or linker), then the line number will refer to the file that you are attempting to download - presumably an Intel Hex file?

Does the error message contain any further details?

Does the documentation for this downloading software give any further details?

What downloading software are you using?

RE: Problem in download

I am sorry for the long topic. However, I thought that this problem may be caused by something in the code.

It is clear now that it is not the code, so what could possibly be the problem?

RE: Problem in download

However, when we downloaded the file on the chip, the downloading software produced a strange error:

"ERROR on line 259"
Posting source for a downloading problem does not make any sense, the programmer (I assume that "downloading" means "programming") has no idea how the .hex file was generated, so the line number must refer to the .hex file.
