We made a small project with AT89C51. It is a simple LED show which can be adjusted by external inputs. If it really was the &lt;i&gt;&lt;b&gt;downloading&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/i&gt; software that produced this error (&lt;i&gt;ie,&lt;/i&gt; not the compiler or linker), then the line number will refer to the file that you are attempting to download - presumably an Intel Hex file?&lt;br /&gt;

Does the &lt;b&gt;documentation&lt;/b&gt; for this downloading software give any further details?&lt;br /&gt;
