I'm shooting 8mm DV Widescreen (16x9) with a Panasonic NV-GS400.
My plan is to capture all my tapes onto Mac as DV AVI Type 2 for
archive and also convert Panasonic NV-GS400 DV to 16:9 MP4 aspect
ratio for presenting on my projector and then playing on Apple TV.
But I have a problem with correct aspect ratio when converting 8mm DV
shootings to MP4. The converted files are automatically viewed as 4:3
Aspect Ratio but it should be 16:9.

After some initial tests, with the help of iMedia Converter for
Mac, I successfully encode DV AVI to MP4 as 16:9 without loss in
quality. The built-in editor tool provides some useful edit functions
which enable you to enhance the video clips, including cropping,
flipping, trimming, splitting, apply special effects, add subtitles
and watermark. So I can easily convert DV movies to MP4 with vertical
flipping or horizontal flipping. And one highlight I appreciate is
the perfect audio and video synchronization technology the program
use.

Want to edit DV movies in FCP, After Effect, Sony Vegas, etc? Want
to encode DV AVI to DivX? Want to convert DV movies to DVD MPEG
format? It's no problem! More than a DV to MP4 Encoder, the iMedia
Converter for Mac can output more than 50 types of video formats,
including MOV, MKV, WMV, FLV, etc.

Below is a simple tutorial to convert DV to 16:9 MP4 with cropping
and flipping. The 4-steps DV to MP4 conversion is time-saving and
easy-to-handle.

This conversion program can be easily found via Google with
keywords "Aunsoft iMedia Converter for Mac".

1 Add 8mm DV shootings to Aunosft iMedia Converter for Mac

Click "Add Files" icon to add your DV files from desktop or other
folders. Or directly drag the DV files directly to the program
window.

2 Choose MP4 as output format

Click "Output Format", choose "HD video>"H.264 HD Video
(*.mp4)" as output format.

You can also directly set your exact device from "Device" category
as the output, such as iPod, iPad, iPhone, PSP, HTC, Android phones,
etc.

3 Crop and Flip 8mm DV recordings

Click "edit selected task" icon in the main interface. Here, you
can crop the unwanted part or black edge. Vertical flip or horizontal
flip is available with one click.

Click "Crop" to set Aspect Ratio as 16:9 do you can encode DV to
16:9 MP4.

4 Start DV to MP4 conversion

Click "convert" button and the iMedia Converter for Mac will start
to transcode NV-GS400 8mm DV to 16:9 MP4 with HD quality fatly. This
program is very efficient, and the progress bar will show you the
percentage and remaining time.
Nothing specific to 8051.

This should be possible using entirely standard AT Commands - so
not even specific to SIM900.

Nothing to do with Keil!

"I have gone through all the AT commands"

And what was your conclusion from that exercise?

"I have tried dem ["them"?] on Hyperterminal"

And what was the result?

"I want to know how do we send a message from our mobile
device"

Read the documentation for your "mobile device" - whatever
it is.

"to gsm modem"

Think about it: as far as sending SMS is concerned, the
destination is just a phone number - isn't it?

"how to transmit it from modem to microcontroller"

I thought you said you'd studied all the AT commands?
And tried them on hyperterminal?

"What commands to use!??"

See above!

"I have tried sending msg from pc to mobile."

And what was the result? What was your conclusion from that
exercise?

"Pls help"

You're really not giving much to go on!

It's not like there aren't already plenty of examples on the
interweb...

This relates to Keil products how exactly?

You could send an SMS from a mobile phone to the modem I you knew
the phone#. On the modem you'd need to register on the network, and
use the AT commands related to the SMS handling to observe if a
message has been received, and to read that message. You'd need some
basic code to parse the response from the AT commands to extract the
message, and calling number.
