sir my project is to automatically send an sms through gsm modem to the doctors mobile using a microcontroller whenever the threshold limits of blood pressure, temperature, heart beat etc are crossed so please suggest which microcntroller to be used and the mobile to be used and the necessary circiut with source code
Hi,
Microcotroller: You can use any microcontroller to do your work. e.g. 8051 family, AVR, PIC etc.
Circuit: Do you know the serial interfacing ckt? MAX232, DB9 connector etc. use that one & connect your modem to UART of microcontroller.
Source code: Serial communication source code depends on which microcontroller you are using. For GSM modem use the AT command guide so that you can send SMS. "">www.coster.info/.../gsm822w.pdf" this is wavecom modem guide.
we are using 89s52 microcontroller and rs232 communication .we want the name of the modem and also mobile name to which the message to be sent we want circuit for this....plz help me out
why?
IF I HAVE ANY DOUBTS I CAN BE IN CONTACT WITH U
AGAIN ONE DOUBT SIR CAN U PLS GIVE THE ORDER OF THESE ELEMENTS.IS IT MICROCONTROLLER TO RS232 TO GSM MODEM
This is public forum. I can't give. make one email id, give me. I will contact you on that. Ok
"connect your modem to UART of microcontroller"
HOW CAN WE CONNECT MODEM TO UART of microcontroller will there be any connections between modem and uart of mc,i mean do gsm modem have any port
Microcontroller -> Max232 -> GSM modem
sir u said that we should connect uart of mc to gsm modem how can we connect that???
GSM modem have DB9 Connector
ok sir my email id is ramesh.ramesh.ramu@gmail.com it's my cousin id.pls try to clear my doubts when i send mail to u.can u also provide me the source code for this
Ok.
can u provide me source code for this project...
I don't have source code for this.
how can we connect gsm modem to mobile phone or should we use any memory to store the phone no of the receiver????
sir thank u sir for ur valuable suggestions and also tell about the above ques sir plssss
No, that is not generally true!
You must read the datasheet (or "user manual" or whatever) for the specific make & model of modem that you are actually using!
