I need help with 89s52 programing!

I need to measure time interval of impulse, who can be sort couple
ns and at least 500ms!

How I can do that using Timers?

Using keil!

From the number of requests for distributed problem solving I see,
my feeling is that the schools have improved a lot on distributed
programming since my days.

In a couple of years, this development model will be really big
with the companies. Every company hires a couple of guys who ask for
solutions on the net, and a couple of minutes, hours, days, weeks
later the solutions magically appears from the community.

The only part I haven't fully grasped is exactly who "the
community" is.

I suspect that it is a class project, and the teacher wants the
student to implement the task and come back with an error report on
how it cannot be more accurate than +/- XYZ seconds, but with some
extra [credit] coding, the range of the measurement can span from
small to large. "Good job, your diploma is in the mail... You'll
be working with a Mr. Muland by the end of the week."

I doubt it is really an engineer out there solving a real-world
problem and expecting this forum to send him the schematics to a
front-end capture circuit accurate to a those few nanoseconds, and
then write the 8051 code to extract that information.

How, in your wildest imagination, do you figure that you can
measure a pulse that is shorter than the clock cycle of the processor
you propose?
