Hi im having a problem with my MCB900 board. The program i am trying to run on it will not work correctly unless the board is connected to the pc via the serial connection. Is this a grounding issue and if so how do i fix it?
"Is this a grounding issue"
From the information given, it is impossible to say!
"how do i fix it?"
First, you need to identify exactly what "it" is!
If it is to do with grounding, you should get the same effect by using a cable with just the ground connected and no other signals. Do you?
yes it is ground must connect on the pin. chek inputs and line to the negetive on the ov pin.
.. all equipment would come with a "free PC"
I am not posting this to berate mandar, I am fairly certain that the misinformation is due to a language problem; however to the OP: your MCB should run w/o the cable connected - see Pers post.

Yes, the MCB900 can use the serial port handshake signals to control the reset line for the processor - for downloading.
i have bad conection last time but it fix.
I haven't checked the MCB900 board, but it isn't unlikely that it is similar to other Keil boards.
Do you have any straps to control if the serial port handshake signals should control the reset line for the processor, or if the processor should enter programming mode?
