Hi, I would like to make changes in the .h header file which is included in the CMSIS driver of MDK5. The header file is contained with icon of a key which means locked. How can I make it editable.Any solution?
AFAIAA the lock symbol indicates the file is read only. So just remove the read only attribute on the file.
But do you really want to change the file like that? It would be better to make a copy in your project file and edit that.
But how to change the read only option. Where shall I see that attribute?
Exactly the same way you'd change the read only attribute of any file under Windows.
Sorry, but I'm not going to give fundamental details on how to use a computer.
Usually you don't want to modify the copy in the library, make a local copy in the project directory, remove the other one from the project, and add the local one back in and modify that one.
Windows File Manager, or Explorer, of a File Manager of your choice? ATTRIB at the console?
Thank you all for your valuable suggestions. All it works effectively.
Removing the attribute might help you. Just remove/modify the attributes from the file and you will be good to go. Good Luck

Rajesh Pillai already confirmed 3 years ago that it did!
Well I really liked his "Interstellar" movie, so if he wants to reach through time and answer questions from the past, I'm cool with that. I also liked "The Prestige" a lot, especially the choice of Bowie to play Tesla, and "Inception" was also excellent.
