Hello ,

my SW Environment is

My HW Environment is

-Development Board : UNI-DS3 based on LPC2148 Board from
MicroElectronika

-ULINK2 JTAG adapter from Keil

My HW Setup :

Hello,
i need to know if "breakpoints is disabled in C-code and it has been
ignored in stepping too" is related to JTAG drivers or IDE
Debug-functionalities with JTAG HW

notes :
-stepping in Simlator works fine in C and Disassembly
-i checked related threads in forum but in vain

Many Thanks and Best Regards,

Hello,

regarding J8,J9 position (it was in "CONNECT" position)
but it seems to me(from schematics) that p0.31 would not be low.

my update now

1- i replace MCU card itself with another one(problem seems to be
with old MCU)
2- remove jumpers J10 ,J8,J9(till now could not know what are their
effect to JTAG accessibility )
3- use ARMFlash to download program (due to strange behaviour when
use ULINK2 flash driver for programming)
4- finally use ULINK2 to attach to the program

it successfully attaches and start debugging (in disassembly
only)

anyway , it's satisfied for me for now

Many thanks for help and Best Regards :) ,

What is J8 and J9 position?

According to that thread:

"Check the pin P0.31, if you pull them down at reset, JTAG pins
disabled"

Hello,sorry for let u misunderstand

My first case is board position for j10 let jtag itself detected
but could not stop the cpu
But when I set j10 for vbus pos. Ulink issues "no jtag device
found"
So , position not affecting solution

Thanks and best regards

Hello ,
regarding J10 , the position that let JTAG Detected by ULINK-IDE is
the "BOARD" position

and changing it let JTAG not found by Debugger

Thanks ,

I looked at this PDF

lib.chipdip.ru/.../DOC000247175.pdf

I do not see the JP10 shown on the schematic. I do see some sort
of multiplexer and wonder
if JP10 controls that. I would think the multiplexer has to
disconnect the Other programmer
when you want to use the JTAG. I would try changing JP10 to opposite
position. I think that might be called VBUS.

Hello ,

Currently i neither use UART-based Flash Programmer nor UART as a
data channel,

can i conclude that i have to revise the Code security by LPC2148
and the board to assure which component affect JTAG Access and have
to erase the OCFlash to get the default settings

But if i reprogram the OCFLASH and try to attach ulink and start
debugging(without programming) , may it have the same problem of JTAG
access

Thanks ,

Hello , thanks for responsive reply

Development kit has already a running program of blinking leds of
ucos-ii RTOS Demo ,

But how could this happen , you mean as a must-to-be board
settings or from the code itself

and how i can debug it while a program is already running ?(with
JTAG jumpers are already set )

ulink allows to fully Earse the on-chip ROM .so i tried to first
us ARMFLASH from Mikroelectronica to erase the chip , but fails .

so ,i have to use ULINK FLASH Programmer
Thanks,

UART0 is the serial port used by the factory-supplied boot loader
of the NXP ARM chips, and lots of boards do support straps to
associate RS-232 handshake lines with the boot loader signals to
allow FlashMagic to automatically reset the chip and enter ISP
programming mode. So a serial cable on UART0 most definitely can
distrurb the boot sequence.

I have seen this happen on Keil Boards when a RS232 cable is
hooked to UART0( I think) and
one of the pins on the UART connector forces ISP condition. Then can
see that error

Is this an empty device or a device that has already some firmware
in it? Firmware can disable access to the JTAG pins which would
result in such errors.
