I&amp;#39;m trying to enable some c99 features on an older version of the
compiler (2.1); specifically the ability to instantiate variables
after code execution. Is there a compiler flag to do this? Note,

You should exactly which compiler you are using. The version
number is not enough.&lt;/p&gt;
