Hello, I am using Keil uvision 4 (arm-mdk453 package) for STM32VL discovery board. It used to be working properly, but now I'm having a problem when I try to download to flash or to debug. I receive popup messages like ''Internal command error'', ''Flash download failed: target dll has been cancelled''. I did upgrade to (mdk454 package) but still have the same problem. Any help will be highly appreciated.
Best Regards,
I have had similar problem with STM32F407 MCU. I was using ST Link 2 for programming/debbugging and solved the issue by downloading latest version of ST Link utility. The cause of my problem was accidentally reconfiguration of jtag ports in software. You can try to erase flash memory by st link utilty first. If it does not help you should install the latest version of it and try to erase flash memory of the device. I wish it helps.
I have been trying this, but every action is responded by the same message ''Internal Command Error'', whether erasing the chip, connecting it again to ST-Link. Only disconnecting works fine. If the chip was damaged, I wonder how the board it working, as it still executes the latest program stored in.
Hello. Try to use "STVP" from ST (you can find it at whttp://www.st.com, STVP - ST Visual Programmer for programming ST7, STM8, STM8T and STM32, "ST Toolset including ST Visual Develop (STVD)and ST Visual Programmer (STVP)"). I had the same problem with ST Discovery board(messages like ''Internal command error'', ''Flash download failed: target dll has been cancelled''). I chose "Erase Active sectors" in stvp's menu, and then Keil worked without problems.
Hi,
This works for me. Thank you very much.
Hello Zied,
If getting an "Internal command error" with a ST-Link, with MDK-ARM v4.54 (an older version of the Keil tools), some suggestions:- Is "Download to Flash" checked? http://www.keil.com/support/docs/3666.htm- If a previous program running on the board is locking up: www.keil.com/.../3662.htm- The firmware on the STLink is too new for this older version of the Keil tools. Temporarily downgrade the STLink Firmware:www.keil.com/.../3774.htm
