why is there so much animosity
one could easily see that the so called seniors are very rude. this guy might be wrong with the title of his post but than this is what he probably thought. Just because you know something doesn't mean that you have to be rude to others as it must have taken long time for you guys to learn.i didn't see any straight answers or clear reference to anything that these guys have given.
be nice to newbies as once you were also one
thanks for the info guys. a lot of good examples and useful material.
the text has now got a reasonable amount of proof. it is definitely proven that you will not substantiante any claim you make. It is easy to say "read 1000 posts" but since when has the proof of guilt been on the defendant. Your "logic" proves that there is nothing to defend.
Erik
would you like me to lend you a copy of simple logic theory?
So show some proof. .... no. i will not provide any.
just Please read the manual with no reference to the relevant part of the documentation! which has a valid purpose. A VERY important part of proficiency is the ability to FIND stuff in the documentation. "Finding time" is almost an inverse logarithic curve.
instead of being so one dimensional and defensive in looking for my name youd spend your time better by looking for the Please read the manual responses! so you expect instead "I will gladly read the manual for you, find the place that refer to the problem you describe and reply in the next post. Since I read the manual for you, when your next problem cones up, you will have no idea what to do, so please post and I will then gladly read the manual for you again".
Please read the manual serves two purposes, a the OP will find the answer and b) the OP will get used to using it.
I completely agree with you on that one and I do think people should try to solve their problems first or at least do the minimum amount of research before posting sure, but what about those that post "how do I do x" get a reply "it is described in y" and then post "how do I do x".
Had you actually read any manual(s) before posting?
Did you subsequently read any manual(s)?
Why do you consider reading manuals "demeaning"?
so. in order for you to believe me i must provide a name of the offender? NO.
i prefer you to consider me a troll rather than do that!
besides, i have no doubt that the person in question knows who they are.
you dont like the suggestion that a 7400 appears to be able to exhibit more logic than those responses?
live with it.
So we got a claim.
And no backing, when asking for examples.
Then a claim of bad logic, when no bad logic had been used.
Then a random jump to "7400" when asking about that bad logic - an attempt to cover the tracks.
This is a good example of a thread where no one can help, because there are no proper foundation to build on.
the text has now got a reasonable amount of proof.
qed.
start with a 7400 and work up from there!
So, once more you resort to plain and utter nonsense. From that I deduce we've been wrong giving you the benefit of the doubt this long, and that you really are a 100% pure-breed troll, and as such best ignored. Good luck with your miserable life, and good bye.
EOD.
look back at your deduction. or rather the lack of.
And that entirely insubstantial admonishment is all you, proud owner of a book on simple logic theory, could come up with? Must be not a very good book, then. It seems to teach stuff like "proof of a generalized statement by claim of existence of one example" and "proving your point is the job of your opposition".
That looks like I'll have to amend my earlier advice: you should not keep that book --- you should burn it and get a better one.
