NXP have a thick document they call the User Manual. It's the main
interface for transmission of information about the chip from them to
the sw developer. Besides that, they have a data sheet that
specializes more on timing, temperatures, voltages that are important
for the hw designer.

By now, I would have expected you to have already figured out that
NXP somehow must have documented their processor, since they just
can't have all developers from all around the world call them for
every single little question about the processor. And since there
could be zero developers on this forum who would be able to help with
anything at all unless we have already been receiving the required
information from somewhere else - that somewhere else actually having
to be NXP.

Besides their manuals, they also happen to have lots of additional
material. Like sample source code and different application notes.
But you should already have found them, while looking for the main
documentation about the processor. After all, NXP does what most
other chip manfucaturers do, and have a web page with relevant links
for their different chips.

Those are not generic questions about any ARM-based
microcontroller in general.

Those are specific details about the particular chip - the lpc2129
in your case.

Therefore, to answer those questions, you need to study the
manufacturer's documentation for that chip!

Please read the manual!

Ya i know C programming and also about microcontrollers ,but the
thing is I need to know How to program a ARM controller ,mainly about
the pinselect options ,how to make a port as genral purpose input
output etc..,

What, exactly, do you mean by that?

- Do you already know the 'C' programming language?

- Do you already know about microcontrollers in general?
