How to configurate the HyperTerminal to get response from my Oem
Board(LPC1788) via RS232 port (I'm running the s_ob_uart_rs232
sample)? Help please.

You didn't mention your Flow Control setting in
hyperterminal...

So the cable is new. You don't know how to test it. But you make
the statement that "the cable works fine". Color me confused, but I
really can't understand how you can know something you don't know how
to test works fine - especially since you created this thread just
because your serial communication did _not_ work fine...

The cable works fine.
what do you mean by "Does the software print something when booting"
and "Have you verified if something happens on the serial connector"?
how can i verify that?

If you already have the same settings in HyperTerminal as the
example uses, then I can't see why you ask for help how to configure
HyperTerminal.

It sounds more like you need to check the cable, and if all straps
etc are correctly mounted. Does the software print something when
booting? Have you verified if something happens on the serial
connector? Does it look like it should?

RS232 Interface is controled by UART Multiplexing Control JP6,
normaly it has to work fine

I have one of these here but I can't recall if you are required to
set jumps to get it to work...! The user manual will tell you.

I'm working with COM1, baudrate = 115200, data bits = 8,stop bits
= 1, parity = none the same values in the example, but no
response.

What baudrate does that example configure? Try same baudrate in
HyperTerminal.
What number of data bits does that example configure? Try same number
of data bits in HyperTerminal.
What number of stop bits does that example configure? Try same number
of stop bits in HyperTerminal.
Does the example use even, odd, mark, space, none for parity? Try
same for the HyperTerminal.

Where are you stuck?
