I am trying to use uVision simulator to run some of the demo
applications for the MCBSTM32F200 prototype board.

When I enter a debug session, I get the following information in
the command window:

Thanks for the information.

I think I have now resolved the issue, using the -REMAP option in
the simulator and assigning some areas of the memory map to be READ
WRITE

Thanks

You normally make use of a ini file for the debugger, that can set
the PC to whatever value you need before starting the debug
session.

A number of Keil projects also have a RAM build, just so that no
flash wear is needed if trying to run the application on the real
hardware.
