Besides having problems with power on/off, pin codes, battery
charging etc, the lack of documentation can be really, truly serious
for phones. Embedded modules are explicitly designed for use in
embedded products.

RE: i want to know the mobile phone using as gsm module.

Do you mean, you want to use a mobile phone as a GSM
modem?

ie, instead of getting a proper GSM module/modem?

I think that is a Really Bad Idea - see: www.8052.com/.../152933

"The trouble with using a phone: is that they simply
aren't designed for programmatic control - and certainly aren't
documented or supported for it"

If you really insist on using a phone, you are going to
have to do a lot of googling to find the necessary information - so
you'd better get sharpening your google skills!

RE: i want to know the mobile phone using as gsm module.

Very few mobile phones are using a GSM module because of price
considerations.

I know Wavecom did spend time trying to get cheap chinese phones
built using their modules - was obviously a failure.

But why do you want to know that? A module isn't always so easy to
use unless you get it with an evaluation kit - they often have a very
interesting connector. And often nonstandard supply voltage. And
often very special connector for the antenna.

So if you are going to play with a module, it's best to get one
from more official channels where you can get documentation, support
and needed connectors.
