but it is unfortunate if in order to produce stimuly, you need simuli :-)
Simulating a peripherial device indirectly requires the ability to produce stimuli.
could be either.
I have seen in other posts that whatever word some language has for output translates to 'stimulation'.

Did you really mean "Stimulation", or did you mean Simulation?

When you simulate, the electrical voltages does not matter.
Have you considered the differences between simulating RS-232 and RS-485? What was your conclusion?
