The mcu I'm using: c8051f226

I use an external osc for system clock. When doing the debug
(C51), the simulator couldn't generate the ready bit XTLVLD
(OSCXCN.7). There is no configuration options available. How should I
proceed with the debug?

RE: C51: Debug problem: how to use external crystal osc

Because you made a Reply!

You need to make a new thread!

See: http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread12084.asp

I build one hardware using AT89S52 and use serial communication to
control GSM modem

Now my question is, I want to monitor the data which I send from
AT89S52 and also received data from GSM modem to my PC

for that purpose I build simple Y cable but it can't work.

please help me to build the cable.

the SILabs chips have built-in In Circuit Emulation (ICE)

Hi Erik,

Thanks for your reply. I wanted to debug my program without the
mcu at hand...What do you mean by using iic?

the SILabs chips have free IIC functionality, use that.

Also, every simulator I know of (including Keil) is missing
simulation of most derivative specific I/O
