He at All
I have a big problem on board MCB2300 with LPC2368
When open the enviroment uVision and chk the ulink2 setting any time
not show the "Jtag device chain" any time press more time the reset
bottom the sistem work.
But if load the program

RE: ARM MCB2300 Problem

Do you guys think it possible that the processor is being reset
when the oscilloscope probe is touched to the oscillator pins, thus
allowing the processor to restart and then run sucessfully?

If so, then it would seem that cycling the power would acheive the
same result.

Just a thought.

Best Regards to All,

The datasheet would mention the name of the register that selects
main oscillator.

For disable the extern oscillator, where is exact the line where is
enable/disable the ext main oscillator?

You can also disable the oscillator by software in
Startup.s. Your problem might be therefore not a hardware
issue, but a pure software problem.

How did you create the HEX file that you download with FlashMagic.
Is this HEX file really identical with the program that you download
using ULINK?

RE: ARM MCB2300 Problem

I have investigation and when with oscilloscope test the point on
is conected the main oscillator at 12Mhz the program run.
Now iI chk if the problem is in the crystal or in the capacitor C32
or C33

Hello Franco dal Pero,

After programming the HEX file with FalshMagic unplug the serial
cable from COM0. The serial cable holds the microcontroller in reset
state.

Hello Franco dal Pero,

What do you mean with ...the dispaly show one row only...?
Is a text displayed at the first row or just solid blocks?

I have chk the your infomation on the MAM timing and change it
from 4 to 5 but the problem not delate.
I have start other test an this is the response:
I have use the flashmagic and have delete the all flash, after I have
read the memory and is is all 0xFF, after load, the your program demo
BLINK with flashmagic in flash and after chk wiht read comand if this
program is load it is load. But the program not run the diaply is not
initalinzing and if use the Jtag interface it not recognised, the
Jtag Device chain is emty.

Check if the problem is caused by an incorrect MAM Timing
setting.

Increase MAM Timing to 5 fetch cycles as explain here:
