Can someone please help me.
I'm using an 8051(P89LPC935FA). It has several clocks and at the moment I can confirm that it is not running at 12MHz as specified. Please what could be the cause of this and how do I make it rin at 12MHz.

RE: Choosing a clock

How can I use this to generate a 20ms delay using timer 0.
Have you downloaded CodeArchitect free from http://www.esacademy.com , that should solve it for you.

To all
The CodeArchitect has many things that are not restricted in use to the LPC series (although they are the only addresses) for instance my SILabs processors run the IIC bus with (slightly modified) CodeArchitect code.
How can I use this to generate a 20ms delay using timer 0. I had tried by assuming that 36864 machine cycles should give me 5ms but I didn't get the required result. Please assist.

RE: Choosing a clock

Please what could be the cause of this and how do I make it rin at 12MHz.
The P89LPCs run at 7.373 MHz unless an external clock source or crystal is provided.
