After years of working in '51 family now i want to try out PIC series. Can anyone help me to write some C code for PIC16c56 ?? I have the IDE and C compiler for PIC series. All i am looking for is a quick starter.

Any help will be great!
http://www.workingtex.com/htpic/
http://www.piclist.com/techref/piclist/index.htm

There's lots of code in both places.

Also your PIC C compiler vendor may have a forum much like Keil's. For example, I use HI-TECH's PICC compiler. Their forum is at:

http://www.htsoft.com/forum/pic/pic.htm

Salvo is an RTOS for devices with extremely constrained memory like PIC's and standalone 8051's. They have some good appnotes using PIC/C/RTOS. Check out:

Hope this helps.
