If you tell them about the non standard pre & /pre tags they will use them. Sorry to say, your other excellent suggestions will be ignored.
So it would! I would suggest that it should also have links to the Knowledge Base search, Forum search, and FAQs, and say "search these resources before posting" It should also explain how to access the PDF manuals via the 'Books' tab in the uVision Project window. Might cut down a bit on the number of times the same old questions get repeated? ;-) BTW: are <pre> and </pre> case-sensitive? Let's just try it:
