A search for &amp;quot;open source image processing library&amp;quot; produces a large number of hits which appear at first glance to be suitable. You can use MATLAB and generate C code from this and port to your target.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span&gt;This is my personal experience regarding Edge detection and Feature extraction.
