I was able to view the cache of the armv8 CPU using ARM DS-5. Applying the same steps, i try to view the cache of armv8 CPU using the ARM Development Studio, it throw me an error saying that "Failed to read contents of Internal RAM L1-I_DATA. Please help
My ARM DS version is 2019.1 Build: 201910913
It doesn't make sense, it works on my side.
I suggest you to update to the latest version ARM DS 2020.0 and try again.
Is there any difference except the DS-5 and ARM DS? Have you change the target platform environment? such as software and hardware?
Or did you set any configuration on the DS-5 connection? Such as any commands or script?
Hi Kaiyou, may i know what is your ARM DS version?
Mine is ARM DS 2020.0
I'm using the same environment, same system, same hardware setup. and same steps, not using any DS script. Don't have any special command at the DS connection, just choose connect only at both ARM-DS-5 and ARM-DS.
The only difference is the ARM-DS-5 and ARM-DS and also their license.
It worked at ARM DS-5 not working at ARM-DS :(
1 Try the latest ARM DS 2020.0
2 Dump the cache when the core stop at NOT el3
3 Try the command "cache print L1I content" on the Command Window View, not use the UI window
And see the result
Let me try on ARM DS 2020.0. But it would not that easy for me. as this involved a lot of developers works as we are sharing the same environment.
Not EL3. so it can be EL2 or EL1?
I have test on 2019.1 version, it also works
Yes I want to remove the secure effection
Still the same at EL1
Anyway, I will try for the ARMDS version 2020. But it will takes me few days to install without breaking others developer work.
What is the build number?
HI Kaiyou, are you using windows version or linux version?
Do you buy the ARM DS license? DS-5 license can't be used on ARM DS, the ARM DS license is another one
